The Progress Palm Protector provides maximum control and positioning for severely flexed hands. It is commonly used for someone with weakness, contractures, mild to moderate tone, or spasticity.
For custom progressive positioning you can trim and shape this splint.
It has a malleable metal frame with 6.5mm thick, high density foam padding covered with soft fabric and a hook and loop closure.
The finger separators are removable, they offer finger abduction to assist with tone control and hygiene.
To achieve the desired thickness you can fold or roll the palmar flap; this can accommodate a small cone or cylindrical foam roll to help ease the hand out of a flexed posture.
Latex free and machine washable.
