The Mediroyal Proxi Plus Thumb Brace combines a thermoplastic splint with a soft textile brace to support the thumb. A 1.6mm Immo Plus thermoplastic is pre-moulded to stabilise the CMC (thumb base) and MCP (thumb knuckle) joints. The Neptune fabric is breathable, hydrodynamic and quick drying. It’s easy to adjust: fold the thumb part to tighten the fit or open it to loosen, with no water or heat gun needed. It comes in left and right versions.

Fitting and precautions:
- Should be fitted by a medical professional, such as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, orthotic technician or doctor
- To fit: close the thumb grip, insert the thumb through the opening, wrap the strap around the wrist and readjust the thumb strap if needed
- To tighten, fold the thumb part and press it together. To loosen, open it and hold it open for a few seconds
- Trim the outer material with scissors if needed, but don’t cut over the thermoplastic or the hook closures
- Consult a doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory problems or sensitive skin, and be observed during use
