Get the most out of your BlazePods with the Go and Pro apps and open a whole new world to flash reflex training. Connected via Bluetooth technology, the apps work for iPhone, Android, and are great for tablets. Each app offers various activities for individual and team sports, home workouts, team training, partner and group competitions, and rehabilitation.
What's the difference?
- The Go app is perfect for personal trainers, small groups, self-performance trainers, first-time BlazePoders, and for family fitness.
- The Pro app is a better choice for your coaches and trainers, professional athletes, people working with large groups, circuit trainers, and physical therapists.
More Info
Access to the Go app is automatically provided for free when you purchase a BlazePod kit or bundle. The Pro membership is opened with a code from a 12 month subscription. Once downloaded directly from your app store, simply sign up, answer a few questions about what you want to get out of BlazePod, and connect to your pods. It’s that easy.
BlazePod has started you off with over 220 diverse activities that you can work with immediately on both the Go and Pro app. These are designed by professional trainers and include video demonstrations. By using the handy filter feature BlazePod has organised activities into separate focus areas such as decision making, core, progressive strengthening, and specific sporting activities for basketball, tennis, and many more.
You can also create your own drills, it’s easy to do from your profile page, but you’re limited to only using the ‘random’ light logic category on the Go membership. If you’re using the Pro version, it opens up another four categories of light logic to choose from. Only the Pro app will allow you to save and share an unlimited amount of customised content.
During an activity you can receive results from the pods in real time, for each player, in each set, in each cycle. This is great for competition between friends or between teammates. To keep track of results the analytics screen will show you the history of your results or those of your team so they can see their progress and improvement over time. These results can also be shared with other people or downloaded as a CSV file to manipulate the data. All of this is available on both apps.
The two apps differ in the Athelete Performance Tests Screen. BlazePod produces a variety of tests and updates them regularly. The Performance Tests are different to the standard activities in that you can compare the results with the industry standard results, track your best performance, and analyse progress. Only one test is available to Go app users. The Pro app currently has eight tests to challenge your participants.
